Patrick j Miron and the counsoul of Trent "vs" Commentary on 1 Corinthians 11:17-22

Commentary on 1 Corinthians 11:17-22

The apostle rebukes the disorders in their partaking of the Lord's supper. The ordinances of Christ, if they do not make us better, will be apt to make us worse. If the use of them does not mend, it will harden. Upon coming together, they fell into divisions, schisms.

Christians may separate from each other's communion, yet be charitable one towards another; they may continue in the same communion, yet be uncharitable. This last is schism, rather than the former. There is a careless and irregular eating of the Lord's supper, which adds to guilt. Many rich Corinthians seem to have acted very wrong at the Lord's table, or at the love-feasts, which took place at the same time as the supper. The rich despised the poor, and ate and drank up the provisions they brought, before the poor were allowed to partake; thus some wanted, while others had more than enough.

What should have been a bond of mutual love and affection, was made an instrument of discord and disunion. We should be careful that nothing in our behaviour at the Lord's table, appears to make light of that sacred institution. The Lord's supper is not now made an occasion for gluttony or revelling, but is it not often made the support of self-righteous pride, or a cloak for hypocrisy?

Let us never rest in the outward forms of worship; but look to our hearts.

Commentary on 1 Corinthians 11:23-34

The apostle describes the sacred ordinance, of which he had the knowledge by revelation from Christ. As to the visible signs, these are the bread and wine.

What is eaten is called bread, though at the same time it is said to be the body of the Lord, plainly showing that the apostle did not mean that the bread was changed into flesh.

St. Matthew tells us, our Lord bid them all drink of the cup, Matthew 26:27, as if he would, by this expression, provide against any believer being deprived of the cup. The things signified by these outward signs, are Christ's body and blood, his body broken, his blood shed, together with all the benefits which flow from his death and sacrifice.

Our Saviour's actions were, taking the bread and cup, giving thanks, breaking the bread, and giving both the one and the other. The actions of the communicants were, to take the bread and eat, to take the cup and drink, and to do both in remembrance of Christ. But the outward acts are not the whole, or the principal part, of what is to be done at this holy ordinance.

Those who partake of it, are to take him as their Lord and Life, yield themselves up to him, and live upon him. Here is an account of the ends of this ordinance.

It is to be done in remembrance of Christ, to keep fresh in our minds his dying for us, as well as to remember Christ pleading for us, in virtue of his death, at God's right hand.

It is not merely in remembrance of Christ, of what he has done and suffered; but to celebrate his grace in our redemption. We declare his death to be our life, the spring of all our comforts and hopes. And we glory in such a declaration; we show forth his death, and plead it as our accepted sacrifice and ransom.

The Lord's supper is not an ordinance to be observed merely for a time, but to be continued. T

he apostle lays before the Corinthians the danger of receiving it with an unsuitable temper of mind; or keeping up the covenant with sin and death, while professing to renew and confirm the covenant with God. No doubt such incur great guilt, and so render themselves liable to spiritual judgements.

But fearful believers should not be discouraged from attending at this holy ordinance. The Holy Spirit never caused this scripture to be written to deter serious Christians from their duty, though the devil has often made this use of it.

The apostle was addressing Christians, and warning them to beware of the temporal judgements with which God chastised his offending servants. And in the midst of judgement, God remembers mercy: he many times punishes those whom he loves. It is better to bear trouble in this world, than to be miserable for ever. The apostle points our the duty of those who come to the Lord's table.

Self-examination is necessary to right attendance at this holy ordinance. If we would thoroughly search ourselves, to condemn and set right what we find wrong, we should stop Divine judgements.

The apostle closes all with a caution against the irregularities of which the Corinthians were guilty at the Lord's table. Let all look to it, that they do not come together to God's worship, so as to provoke him, and bring down vengeance on themselves.

Trent hurled 125 anathemas (eternal damnations) against Bible-believing Christians.

Trent hurled 125 anathemas (eternal damnations) against Bible-believing Christians.

These proclamations and anathemas were fleshed out in the murderous persecutions vented upon Bible-believing Christians by Rome, and the solemn fact is that the Council of Trent has never been annulled.

If anyone says that the confirmation of those baptized is an empty ceremony and not a true and proper sacrament;

Seventh session, canons on baptism:

·          “If anyone says that in the Roman Church, which is the mother and mistress of all churches, there is not the true doctrine concerning the sacrament of baptism,

LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on Baptism, Canon 3).

·          “If anyone says that baptism is optional, that is, not necessary for salvation,

LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on Baptism, Canon 5).

·          “If anyone says that children, because they have not the act of believing,

are not after having received baptism to be numbered among the faithful,

and that for this reason are to be rebaptized when they have reached the years of discretion;

or that it is better that the baptism of such be omitted than that, while not believing by their own act, they should be baptized in the faith of the Church alone,

LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on Baptism, Canon 13).

Seventh session, canons on confirmation:

“If anyone says that the confirmation of those baptized is an empty ceremony and not a true and proper sacrament;

Fourth session: decree concerning the canonical scriptures:

“If anyone does not accept as sacred and canonical the aforesaid books in their entirety and with all their parts

two of Esdras, Tobias, Judith, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus, Baruch, Sophonias, two of Macabees], as they have been accustomed to be read in the Catholic Church

The purpose of the Council of Trent / the ways that Protestantism was heresy

To stop the spread of Protestantism and to reform the Catholic Church

~Ates
The purpose of the Council of Trent was basically to enumerate all the ways that Protestantism was heresy, and all the reasons why a Protestant would spend eternity in Hell.
To examine and make clear the beliefs and practices of the Catholic Church.
The purpose of the Council of Trent was to refute and condemn the Protestant beliefs that were contradicting Roman Catholic beliefs.

Additionally, Trent formally established the Catholic view of the Biblical canon.
To examine and make clear the beliefs and practices of the Catholic Church.
Direct the reform of the Catholic Church

The Council of Trent hashed out the reformers complaints and points for 18 years. They only partially resolve the abuses of the Catholic Church. I have included web site which sums it up well. It is done by a history teacher

  A SUMMARY OF THE
DECLARATIONS OF THE COUNCIL OF TRENT

Has the Roman Catholic Church changed its basic doctrinal position in this present ecumenical era?

The answer is no, it has not.

The Council of Trent was a Catholic council held from 1545-1563 in an attempt to destroy the progress of the Protestant Reformation.

This council denied every Reformation doctrine, including Scripture alone and grace alone.

Trent hurled 125 anathemas (eternal damnations) against Bible-believing Christians.

These proclamations and anathemas were fleshed out in the murderous persecutions vented upon Bible-believing Christians by Rome, and the solemn fact is that the Council of Trent has never been annulled.

The Vatican II Council of the mid-1960s referred to Trent dozens of times, quoted Trent’s proclamations as authority, and reaffirmed Trent on every hand.

The New Catholic Catechism cites Trent no less than 99 times.

There is not the slightest hint that the proclamations of the Council of Trent have been abrogated by Rome.

At the opening of the Second Vatican Council, Pope John XXIII stated,

“I do accept entirely all that has been decided and declared at the Council of Trent.”

Every cardinal, bishop and priest who participated in the Vatican II Council signed a document affirming Trent.

Delusional and Distortional Beliefs Roman Catholic history by catholicquestions@yahoogroups.com

From: Jon <pax_65@...>

Subject: Catholic Questions Re: Hi Every One...

I think there are some language and grammar issues here, but I feel the need to chime in if I'm understanding this question and response correctly. To suggest that Catholics have the Pope while protestants have the Bible is really inaccurate.

The Catholic Church is the original Christian church that Jesus Christ founded.
Nearly all the beliefs of the Catholic Church, including the Pope, the Sacraments, veneration of Mary, the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, Confession (Reconciliation), etc. were accepted by Christians for the first 1500 years after Christ's time on earth.
You can read the writings of early Christians like St. Justin Martyr (2nd Century) to verify this. See this link for more: http://www.newadvent.org/fathers/0126.htm.

The protestant reformation in the 16th century raised some serious issues in the church - not in terms of belief but in administration and corruption. After many years, this led to a split in Christianity which required changes in belief (such as denying the authority of the Pope since protestants would no longer obey that authority).

Once that first split was complete (the Lutheran church), many other protestant churches split from that, and the beliefs became more and more varied. At last count there are some 30,000 different protestant faiths, all with slightly different beliefs (although in some cases the specifics of their beliefs are unclear).

As Christians we all believe that the books of the Bible were divinely inspired. Practically speaking, the early Catholic Church debated and discussed which books would be admitted for about 400 years. Finally, around 410 we have the first recorded official list of the New Testament appearing in a letter from Pope Innocent I, and there is no evidence that the books were debated from that point on.

So while God provided the Bible for us, the authority of the Catholic Church in the early centuries helped affirm those books for all of us and end any debate as to which books should be included. Ironic, then, that protestants would attack the Catholic Church over the Bible which the Church played an important role in developing.

Bottom line: the Bible is very important to Catholics, as it is to all Christians.

I was a protestant for many years who converted to Catholicism. These are the major differences as I see them:

REAL PRESENCE: Catholic believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist (communion). This belief is supported strongly in scripture and was the belief of all Christians prior to 1500. Most protestant faiths today believe communion is a symbolic memorial, nothing more. (Some notable exceptions such at Lutherans believe in a Real Presence although some details vary.)

AUTHORITY OF THE POPE & CHURCH: The split away from the Catholic Church required that protestants deny the authority of the Pope in order that they have the freedom to develop their own church and beliefs.

VENERATION OF MARY: The Mother of Christ was held in very high regard by early Christians and remains so in the Catholic Church. Most protestant faiths have lost this tradition.

SCRIPTURE VS TRADITION. Having denied the authority of the Catholic Church, many protestant faiths put 100% authority to scripture as a foundation of their faith. The Catholic Church has always maintained the importance of Holy Scripture but also recognizes Holy Tradition - basically the teachings of Christ and records of Christian history which were passed down orally from one generation to the next. In fact, it is from these Traditions that many of the Scriptures were written (in many cases, years after Christ walked the earth). An example of this would be the Assumption of Mary - early Christians believed that Mary was taken up to heaven body and soul to recognize her important role in Christ's mission. This was never written down in Holy Scripture, perhaps because it is not really relevant to our salvation, perhaps because it was never debated among Christians. Still, it is interesting. Many things like that exist to form a deeper, more meaningful faith than what you'd get from Holy Scripture alone. Keep in mind - Holy Scripture and Holy Tradition cannot conflict with each other since they both come from the same source - Jesus Christ.

Other traditions of the Catholic Church. I put this as a small "t" - these are traditions like prayers and practices that in many cases have been practiced by Christians for thousands of years but have been lost in many protestant faiths. This includes prayers like the Rosary, appreciation of the saints, recognition of Lent and Advent (still recognized in some protestant faiths), sign of the cross, etc. Again, these things help create a deeper faith and connect us to the universal Church around the Earth and throughout history.

There you go... I haven't posted in months but just unloaded lots of info. That should give us something to talk about!

God bless!

DECLARATIONS OF THE COUNCIL OF TRENT---LET HIM BE ANATHEMA

  A SUMMARY OF THE
DECLARATIONS OF THE COUNCIL OF TRENT
Has the Roman Catholic Church changed its basic doctrinal position in this present ecumenical era? The answer is no, it has not. The Council of Trent was a Catholic council held from 1545-1563 in an attempt to destroy the progress of the Protestant Reformation. This council denied every Reformation doctrine, including Scripture alone and grace alone. Trent hurled 125 anathemas (eternal damnations) against Bible-believing Christians. At the opening of the Second Vatican Council, Pope John XXIII stated, “I do accept entirely all that has been decided and declared at the Council of Trent.” Every cardinal, bishop and priest who participated in the Vatican II Council signed a document affirming Trent.
Fourth session: decree concerning the canonical scriptures:
“If anyone does not accept as sacred and canonical the aforesaid books in their entirety and with all their parts [the 66 books of the Bible plus 12 apocryphal books, being two of Paralipomenon, two of Esdras, Tobias, Judith, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus, Baruch, Sophonias, two of Macabees], as they have been accustomed to be read in the Catholic Church and as they are contained in the old Latin Vulgate Edition, and knowingly and deliberately rejects the aforesaid traditions, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA.”
Sixth session, canons concerning justification:
·          “If anyone says that justifying faith is nothing else than confidence in divine mercy, which remits sins for Christ’s sake, or that it is this confidence alone that justifies us, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons Concerning Justification, Canon 12).
·          “If anyone says that the justice received is not preserved and also not increased before God through good works, but that those works are merely the fruits and signs of justification obtained, but not the cause of its increase, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons Concerning Justification, Canon 24).
·          “If anyone says that the Catholic doctrine of justification as set forth by the holy council in the present decree, derogates  in some respect from the glory of God or the merits of our Lord Jesus Christ, and does not rather illustrate the truth of our faith and no less the glory of God and of Christ Jesus, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons Concerning Justification, Canon 33).
Seventh session, canons on baptism:
·          “If anyone says that in the Roman Church, which is the mother and mistress of all churches, there is not the true doctrine concerning the sacrament of baptism, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on Baptism, Canon 3).
·          “If anyone says that baptism is optional, that is, not necessary for salvation, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on Baptism, Canon 5).
·          “If anyone says that children, because they have not the act of believing, are not after having received baptism to be numbered among the faithful, and that for this reason are to be rebaptized when they have reached the years of discretion; or that it is better that the baptism of such be omitted than that, while not believing by their own act, they should be baptized in the faith of the Church alone, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on Baptism, Canon 13).
Seventh session, canons on confirmation:
“If anyone says that the confirmation of those baptized is an empty ceremony and not a true and proper sacrament; or that of old it was nothing more than a sort of instruction, whereby those approaching adolescence gave an account of their faith to the Church, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on Confirmation, Canon 1).
Thirteenth session, canons on the most holy sacrament of the Eucharist:
·          “If anyone denies that in the sacrament of the most Holy Eucharist are contained truly, really and substantially the body and blood together with the soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and consequently the whole Christ, but says that He is in it only as in a sign, or figure or force, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on the Most Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist, Canon 1).
·          “If anyone says that Christ received in the Eucharist is received spiritually only and not also sacramentally and really, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on the Most Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist, Canon 8).
Fourteenth session, canons concerning the most holy sacrament of penance:
·          “If anyone says that in the Catholic Church penance is not truly and properly a sacrament instituted by Christ the Lord for reconciling the faithful of God as often as they fall into sin after baptism, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons Concerning the Most Holy Sacrament of Penance, Canon 1).
·          “If anyone denies that sacramental confession was instituted by divine law or is necessary to salvation; or says that the manner of confessing secretly to a priest alone, which the Catholic Church has always observed from the beginning and still observes, is at variance with the institution and command of Christ and is a human contrivance, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons Concerning the Most Holy Sacrament of Penance, Canon 7).
·          “If anyone says that the confession of all sins as it is observed in the Church is impossible and is a human tradition to be abolished by pious people; or that each and all of the faithful of Christ or either sex are not bound thereto once a year in accordance with the constitution of the great Lateran Council, and that for this reason the faithful of Christ are to be persuaded not to confess during Lent, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons Concerning the Most Holy Sacrament of Penance, Canon 8).
·          “If anyone says that God always pardons the whole penalty together with the guilt and that the satisfaction of penitents is nothing else than the faith by which they perceive that Christ has satisfied for them, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons Concerning the Most Holy Sacrament of Penance, Canon 8).
Twenty-second session, canons on the sacrifice of the mass:
·          “If anyone says that in the mass a true and real sacrifice is not offered to God; or that to be offered is nothing else than that Christ is given to us to eat, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on the Sacrifice of the Mass, Canon 1).
·          “If anyone says that by those words, Do this for a commemoration of me, Christ did not institute the Apostles priests; or did not ordain that they and other priests should offer His own body and blood, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on the Sacrifice of the Mass, Canon 2).
·          “If anyone says that the sacrifice of the mass is one only of praise and thanksgiving; or that it is a mere commemoration of the sacrifice consummated on the cross but not a propitiatory one; or that it profits him only who receives, and ought not to be offered for the living and the dead, for sins, punishments, satisfactions, and other necessities, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on the Sacrifice of the Mass, Canon 3).
·          “If anyone says that it is a deception to celebrate masses in honor of the saints and in order to obtain their intercession with God, as the Church intends, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on the Sacrifice of the Mass, Canon 5).
Twenty-third session, canons on the sacrament of order:
“If anyone says that there is not in the New Testament a visible and external priesthood, or that there is no power of consecrating and offering the true body and blood of the Lord and of forgiving and retaining sins, but only the office and bare ministry of preaching the Gospel; or that those who do not preach are not priests at all, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on the Sacrifice of the Mass, Canon 1).
Twenty-third session, canons on the sacrament of order:
“If anyone says that the bishops who are chosen by the authority of the Roman pontiff are not true and legitimate bishops, but merely human deception, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA” (Canons on the Sacrifice of the Mass, Canon 8).
Twenty-fifth session, decree on purgatory:
“Since the Catholic Church, instructed by the Holy Ghost, has, following the sacred writings and the ancient tradition of the Fathers, taught in sacred councils and very recently in this ecumenical council that there is a purgatory, and that the souls there detained are aided by the suffrages of the faithful and chiefly by the acceptable sacrifice of the altar, the holy council commands the bishops that they strive diligently to the end that the sound doctrine of purgatory, transmitted by the Fathers and sacred councils, be believed and maintained by the faithful of Christ, and be everywhere taught and preached.”
Twenty-fifth session, on the invocation, veneration, and relics of saints, and sacred images:
“The holy council commands all bishops and others who hold the office of teaching and have charge of the cura animarum, that in accordance with the usage of the Catholic and Apostolic Church, received from the primitive times of the Christian religion, and with the unanimous teaching of the holy Fathers and the decrees of sacred councils, they above all instruct the faithful diligently in matters relating to intercession and invocation of the saints, the veneration of relics, and the legitimate use of images, teaching them that the saints who reign together with Christ offer up their prayers to God for men, that it is good and beneficial suppliantly to invoke them and to have recourse to their prayers, assistance and support in order to obtain favors from God through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our redeemer and savior; and that they think impiously who deny that the saints who enjoy eternal happiness in heaven are to be invoked, or who assert that they do not pray for men, or that our invocation of them to pray for each of us individually is idolatry, or that it is opposed to the word of God and inconsistent with the honor of the one mediator of God and men, Jesus Christ, or that it is foolish to pray vocally or mentally to those who reign in heaven.”

Delusional commentary of Patrick j Miron---Let Him who has ears Hear Me

Let Him who has ears Hear Me

i Catholic

By Pat Miron

Matt.11:15 “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

What does this message mean?

My dear friends in Christ,

Another KEY to understanding the Bible message, is “how often a particular theme is repeated.”

For example The (Holy Eucharist)  appears by five different authors;

ED> note-- i believe Patrick j Miron means to say " the pass-over, or communion as in 1 cor 11,
appears in the bible.

“Take up your Cross and follow Me,” appears five times by four different authors,

 and the message above appears,

by Matthew three times, by Mark three times, by Luke twice, and by Paul also three times.

That makes a TOTAL OF eleven TIMES!

TWICE AS OFTEN AS THE REAL PRESENCE.

ED Note ; this is a delusional belief of Patrick J Miron.. it really is a distortation--patrick J miron confuses natural intellect with spiritual reality

And the same message appears another eight times in the Old Testament.

I’m no bible expert, but this is astounding!

The more often a message is repeated, the greater importance it has. Duh

Even more astounding and adding a GREAT sense of urgency to the message is this fact: In my copy of the OT, the account covers 1,047 pages; while the NT is recounted in only 401 pages [New American Bible s.c.] That’s less than 60% of the space and nearly 30% MORE OFTEN! SURELY, this is a message for our times!

Matt.13: 9 “He who has ears, let him hear." 15 For this people's heart has grown dull, and their ears are heavy of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should perceive with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn for me to heal them.'

16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.

43 Then the righteous"[Those HUMBLE enough to actually allow TRUE teachers of the Faith to over-rule there own pride]" will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.”

Patrick J miron Opinion #267

Mark.4: 9 “And he said, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear." 23 If any man has ears to hear, let him hear." Mark.8: 18 Having eyes do you not see, and having ears do you not hear? And do you not remember?”

Luke.8: 8 “And some fell into good soil and grew, and yielded a hundredfold." As he said this, he called out, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear." 14: 33 -35 “So therefore, whoever of you does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple. "Salt is good; but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltness be restored? It is fit neither for the land nor for the dunghill; men throw it away. He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

Acts.7:51 "You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so do you.”

Acts.28: 27 “For this people's heart has grown dull, and their ears are heavy of hearing,
and their eyes they have closed; lest they should perceive with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn for me to heal them.”

Rom.11: 8 “as it is written, "God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that should not see and ears that should not hear, down to this very day."

MEANING: Rom.9: 18 “So then he has mercy upon whomever he wills, and he hardens the heart of whomever he wills.”

It seems prudent, even necessary to ask WHY this is?

Ps.115: 6 “They have ears, but do not hear; noses, but do not smell.”

Ps.130:2 “Lord, hear my voice! Let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications!”

Isa.6: 10 “Make the heart of this people fat, and their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed."

Isa.42: 20 “He sees many things, but does not observe them; his ears are open, but he does not hear.”

Jer.5: 21 “"Hear this, O foolish and senseless people, who have eyes, but see not, who have ears, but hear not.”

Jer.6: 10 “To whom shall I speak and give warning, that they may hear? Behold, their ears are closed, they cannot listen; behold, the word of the LORD is to them an object of scorn, they take no pleasure in it.”

Ezek.12: 2 "Son of man, you dwell in the midst of a rebellious house, who have eyes to see, but see not, who have ears to hear, but hear not; “

Zech.7: 11 “But they refused to hearken, and turned a stubborn shoulder, and stopped their ears that they might not hear.”

1.  First a few different views of what the message means; what the messenger is actually saying.

From the Protestant Matthew Henry’s Comprehensive Commentary of the Bible:

From Haydock’s Catholic Bible Commentary Matt. 13: 9 [same quote]

Ver. 9. He that hath ears to hear. “By these words, we are exhorted to examine the meaning of the parables. (St. Jerome) We are also taught that not all, but only such as have had the sense of the Scriptures opened to their understanding from above, can properly understand them. The apostles themselves were in ignorance till Jesus Christ gave them the true meaning: "he opened their understanding, that they might understand the Scriptures."

(St. Luke xxiv. 45.)

It is God who speaks in the Scripture, and it is God who givs us to understand what is therein delivered. His truths he conceals from the proud, while he reveals them to the little and humble. How can any persons pretend that the most mysterious, as well as the most sacred book in the world, is open to every understanding?….

[St. Paul [ACTS 13:26-27... "Brethren, sons of the family of Abraham, and those among you that fear God, to us has been sent the message of this salvation.

For those who live in Jerusalem and their rulers, because they did not recognize him nor understand the utterances of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled these by condemning him.”] added by PJM

tells the Jews, that although the Scriptures were read to them every Sabbath-day, their very rulers did not understand them; and St. Peter, in his 2d Epistle (2 Peter iii. 17.) assures us, that there are many passage hard to be understood. --- All comes from God. It is He who opens our ears to hear, our heart to believe, and our mind to understand. Agar was near a well, and yet she wept, because she had no water to give her son to drink. God opened her eyes, and she saw the well that was close to her.

Thus, says Origen, [An EARLY Church Father] we may read the Scripture, and find no nourishment for the soul, unless God opens our mind, to see therein on what we are to nourish it. It contains salutary waters, but only those can be benefited by them, who see how to drink of the heavenly source. It is the Holy Ghost alone who can effectually open our eyes, to see these waters that spring up to life eternal; and this special grace we are to obtain by humble and fervent prayer. Knock, and it shall be opened to you.”

A Summation of both of the translations seem to be saying:

If your seeking the truth; it IS Found in the Catholic Bible [complete and in Every way PJM].

Delusional Belief of Patrick J miron  #865

Everyone seeking salvation ought to hear what God Himself has to say on this Subject.

BUT Not everything is easy to comprehend and understand Correctly. 2nd. Peter 3:16
In part because of the way the message is presented

In part because of pride-filled self -interpretation

Delusional Belief  and demenstration of Patrick J miron  #866

[Please see 2nd. Peter 1: 20-21, 2nd. Peter 3:16, Rom. 10: 17 and confirmed by 2nd. Tim. 3: 15-17]

in part because Faith is and always has been a gift controlled by God Himself. We can and should ask and PRAY for it; but it’s God’s decision alone in the end.
In part because some are simply too lazy or otherwise occupied to seek the singular truth found in God’s Holy Writ.

In part because some; too convinced that they know “more,” know “better”; than the agency founded by Christ for this purpose. [Mt. 16:15-19, Mt. 18:18 and Mt. 28:19-20], which is often the result of wrongful instruction.

And because some either are unable to understand or simply choose to ignore that on every single issue; logically and morally there can be ONLY ONE TRUTH. [Catholics as well as non-catholics]

Many folks are willing to take there man-made religion, man-made faith and man-made understanding of the Bible NOT factoring in that that these are RECENT innovations and teachings presuming [in error] that God’s One Church, One Faith, One Understanding has been around for far more than a THOUSAND years before This “new-enlightenment, ENCROACHED UPON TRUTH, attempting to usurp IT FOR THEMSELVES” and that the CC could somehow be wrong! GOD HIMSELF FORBIDS IT!

God Himself assures Her truths. [Jn.14:16-17 and Jn. 17: 14-19].

 Patrick J miron opinion # 867

And I point out that there are a GREAT multitude of self-professed-“catholics“, who too struggle with this lack of Faith and Understanding.

 ED Note-

this is due to poorly educated Roman Catholic teacher's and scholars who have not picked up their cross , and got Baptised in the Holy Spirit.

Most roman catholic's are led-by their own opinion

Just like patrick j miron

 They too need Spiritual hearing-aids!

All to frequently Catholic Catechesis has been inadequate, incomplete or simply wrong in the past fifty years are so.

So what’s a person to do?

Two virtues are absolutely essential in-order to attain heaven:

They are FAITH and Humility.

There is NOT a single Saint in heaven who does not have both in great measure.

Faith remains a GIFT from God, that we can ask for and PRAY for.

Patrick j miron dosen't seem to know that we all have a measure of faith. even as small as a mustard seed--- it can toss mountains into the sea..

Hmmm pat is missing the point

Humility is somewhat more under our own control [aided of course by the Holy Spirit]. We ought to practice regularly self-sacrifice , and small acts of depriving ourselves of something we desire, by acts of charity, and by swallowing our sinful Pride, and listen to the message taught [in many cases’ consecutively and consistently for 2,000 years] by the very organization devised and set -up by Jesus

Christ Himself for this very purpose.

His
Catholic Church.

John 14: 16 to 17 “And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, to be with you for ever, [A Done deal!] 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him; you know him, for he dwells with you, and will be in you.”

John 17: 14 to 19 “ I [JESUS CHRIST] have given them thy word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not pray that thou should take them out of the world, but that thou should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; thy word is truth. [DONE DEAL] As thou didst send me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be consecrated in truth.” ONLY Christ Catholic Church is included in these two GODLY COMMITMENTS! [Historical FACT!] Because there were NO other competing churches when it was both made and Codified!

So why am I sharing this now?

John.1: 29 “The next day [after Jesus had been Baptized by John] he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! 36 and he looked at Jesus as he walked, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God!"

Matt.3: 3 “For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah when he said, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight." John.1:
23 “He said, "I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, [JOHN the Baptist being quoted] `Make straight the way of the Lord,' as the prophet Isaiah said."

Advent is a time of getting ready, being prepared, and so this seems an ideal time for self-inspection; self-reflection and a “to thy own self be true.” commitment. God most certainlyWill, because God Must, Judge each of us not only on what we know; far more importantly is recognizing that we, All of us shall be judged on what God PERMITS us to know. This goes to the very heart of today’s thought.

So my friends in Christ: are YOU in need of Spiritual hearing Aids?

Mt. 16: RE: PETER “15-19 “He [Jesus Christ] said to them, [The Apostles] added by P.J.M

Delusional opinion of Patrick j Miron

"But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." And Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.

John’s Disciples Follow Jesus

35 The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. 36 When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”

37 When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus. 38 Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, “What do you want?”
They said, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are you staying?”

39 “Come,” he replied, “and you will see.”
So they went and saw where he was staying, and they spent that day with him. It was about four in the afternoon.

40 Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. 41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). 42 And he brought him to Jesus.
Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which, when translated, is Peter[g]).

Jesus Calls Philip and Nathanael

43 The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, he said to him, “Follow me.”

44 Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida. 45 Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote —Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

46 “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked.
“Come and see,” said Philip.

47 When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.”

48 “How do you know me?” Nathanael asked.
Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.”

49 Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.”

50 Jesus said, “You believe[h] because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that.” 51 He then added, “Very truly I tell you,[i] you[j] will see ‘heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on’[k] the Son of Man.”

And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock [ROCK = Foundation of you Peter] I will build my [SINGULAR] church, [SEE Eph.2: 19-20 ]and the powers of death shall not prevail against it.

Each of us is called by GOD to make this very choice. “Let those who have ears HEAR!” …. Each of us is to hear and accept the message of Isaiah: “Make straight the way of thee LORD!”

May Almighty God GRANT all of us the gift of TRUE FAITH, that includes the Godly gifts of Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding.

Each of you continue in my daily thoughts and prayers,.

Taxi's Latka on what you need in life Roman Catholic trent doctrune, get your ticket to hell from the Roman Catholic Church

Trent 1551 you are screwed if you don't believe the roman catholic doctrine

oh well you are probably going to hell any way

At the third session, the Council produced Sacrosanctum Concilium (The Holy Liturgy).

One of its articles entitled "The Mystery of the Eucharist'' completely reaffirmed its belief and practice in the changing of the bread and wine at the mass into the very body and blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ.

It was not long thereafter that Pope Paul VI issued an encyclical, Mysterium Fidei, which reads in part: "During the Second Vatican Council the Church has made a new and most solemn profession of her faith in and worship of this mystery..

.For if the sacred liturgy holds the first place in the life of the Church, the mystery of the Eucharist stands as the heart and center...

Those who partake of this sacrament in Holy Communion eat the Flesh of Christ and drink the Blood of Christ, receiving both grace, the beginning of eternal life, and the 'medicine of immortality,'..

.Indeed, we are aware of the fact that, among those who deal with this Most Holy Mystery in written or spoken word, there are some who...spread abroad such opinions as disturb the faithful and fill their minds with no little confusion about matters of faith as if every one were permitted to consign to oblivion doctrine already defined by the Church, or to interpret it in such a way as to weaken the genuine meaning of the words or the approved import of the concepts involved...the spread of these and similar opinions does great harm to the faith and devotion to the Divine Eucharist... we cannot approve the opinions which they express...We must therefore approach this mystery especially with humble obedience, not following human arguments, which ought to be silent...It is a logical conclusion, then, that we should follow as a guiding star in our investigations of this mystery the agisterium of the Church, to which the Divine Redeemer entrusted for protection and for explanation the revelation which He has communicated to us through Scripture or tradition having this from conviction that 'what since the days of antiquity was preached and believed throughout the whole Church with true Catholic Faith is true, even if it is not comprehended by reason, even if it is not explained by means of words'...we are not to tolerate anyone who on his own authority wishes to modify the formulae in which the Council of Trent sets forth the Mystery of the Eucharist for our belief...It is the teaching of the First Vatican Council: 'that meaning of the sacred dogmas must forever be retained which Holy Mother Church has once defined and we may never depart from that meaning under the pretext and in the name of deeper understanding.'..

.the Catholic Church has held to this faith in the presence of the Body and Blood of Christ in the Eucharist, not only in her teaching but also in her practice, since she has at all times given to this great Sacrament the worship which is known as latria and which may be given to God alone.

As St. Augustine says: 'It was in His flesh that Christ walked among us and it is His flesh that He has given us to eat for our salvation. No one, however, eats of this flesh without having first adored it...and not only do we not sin in thus adoring it, but we would sin if we did not do so.'...

The Catholic Church has always offered and still offers the cult of latria to the Sacrament of the Eucharist...We therefore beseech you, venerable brothers...Tirelessly promote the cult of the Eucharist, the focus where all other forms of piety must ultimately meet and converge...May all those not yet in perfect communion with the Catholic Church, who though separated from her are honored by and glory in the name of Christian, share with us as soon as possible with the help of divine grace that unity of faith and communion which Christ wanted to be the distinctive mark of His disciples...

May the Most Blessed Virgin Mary from whom Christ Our Lord took the flesh which under the appearances of bread and wine 'is contained, offered, and received in this Sacrament,' and all the saints of God, especially those who had a more ardent devotion to the Divine Eucharist, intercede with the Father of mercies so that from this same faith in and devotion to the Eucharist may come forth and flourish a perfect unity among all who bear the name Christian." Thus Pope Paul VI reaffirmed his loyalty to those canons of Trent which belched curses for those who deny them. Every Roman Catholic, under pain of mortal sin and excommunication is obliged to render religious worship to the host. Is it not then "double-talk" for Rome to consider non-Catholics as Christians or "separated brethren" when indeed at the same time they are considered accursed or damned?
Because of her ecumenical move toward the one world church, statues may have disappeared, rosary beads may be unpopular, limbo and purgatory may be de-emphasized, even the term transubstantiation may be unfashionable, but the doctrine of transubstantiation is here to stay.
The POSITION of the TRUE BELIEVER
Our hearts are heavy for the millions of Roman Catholics who, not knowing the Scriptures, greatly err in believing the fable of transubstantiation, undoubtedly the greatest lever of the Roman Church.

How little these sincere, but spiritually lost people realize that

"the worship of what is called the Blessed Sacrament is as vile an idolatry as the worship by the Egyptians of onions and other pot-herbs which grew in their own gardens," Charles Spurgeon.

Any Roman Catholic who comes to a personal knowledge and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who has sincerely repented and is truly born again of the Holy Spirit of God, is no longer a Roman Catholic, doctrinally, whether he knows it or not. However, as he feeds upon the Holy Word of God and begins to grow spiritually, he will not only abjure the hideous dogma of transubstantiation,

but all Romish teachings...the whole idolatrous circus!

Those who truly understand what it means to have Jesus as Lord and Saviour immediately distinguish the teachings of God's Word from the teachings of man (John 10:27) painful though it may be, the Word of God, "Come out of her my people." (Revelation 18:4, also see First Thessalonians 5:22).

May God's Spirit convict the hearts of false shepherds of the Roman Church who feed "the faithful" the old Roman recipes, much to their own eternal destruction and that of their misled flocks. May God's Spirit have mercy upon the simple people who so unreservedly trust their eternal destiny to a sacramental priesthood that uses the host as a charm. May God's Spirit open the eyes of evangelicals to know that Rome is not a part of the Christian Church. The Roman Church has never had God's blessing. May God's Spirit bend the wicked arm of apostate Protestant churches who are more excited about "union" than Biblical truth. Finally, may God's Spirit raise up a faithful army of bold witnesses whose weapons "are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." (Second Corinthians 10:4, 5).

popup book Roman Catholic doctrine What did the Council of Trent decide and declare?

The cousoul of trent1551 defined the catholic religion for the next 500 years

TRANSUBSTANTIATION
ACCORDING to the COUNCIL of TRENT
When Europe was electrified by the eloquent preaching of the sixteenth century Reformation, the Roman Catholic hierarchy gathered her ablest theologians who worked for three decades in the preparation of a statement of faith concerning transubstantiation.

This document remains, to this day, the standard of Catholic doctrine.

As the Second Vatican Council commenced,

Pope John XXIII declared, "I do accept entirely all that has been decided and declared at the Council of Trent."

What did the Council of Trent decide and declare?

The first sections are as follows:

Canon I: "If any one shall deny that the body and blood, together with the soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and therefore entire Christ, are truly, really, and substantially contained in the sacrament of the most holy Eucharist; and shall say that He is only in it as a sign, or in a figure, or virtually, — let him be accursed."

Canon II: "If any one shall say that the substance of the bread and wine remains in the sacrament of the most holy Eucharist, together with the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, and shall deny that wonderful and singular conversion of the whole substance of the bread into the body, and of the whole substance of the wine into the blood, the outward forms of the bread and wine still remaining, which conversion the Catholic church most aptly calls transubstantiation, — let him be accursed."

Canon III: "If any one shall deny, that in the venerated sacrament of the Eucharist, entire Christ is contained in each kind, and in each several particle of either kind when separated, — let him be accursed."

Canon IV: "If any one shall say that, after consecration, the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ is only in the wonderful sacrament of the Eucharist in use whilst it is taken, and not either before or after, and that the true body of the Lord does not remain in the hosts or particles which have been consecrated, and which are reserved, or remain after the communion, — let him be accursed."

Canon V: "If any one says that the principal fruit of the most holy Eucharist is the remission of sins or that other effects do not result from it, — let him be accursed."

Canon VI: "If any one shall say that Christ, the only begotten Son of God, is not to be adored in the holy sacrament of the Eucharist, even with the open worship of latria, and therefore not to be venerated with any peculiar festal celebrity, nor to be solemnly carried about in processions according to the praiseworthy and universal rites and customs of the holy Church, and that He is not to be publicly set before the people to be adored, and that His adorers are idolaters, — let him be accursed."

How frequently we hear Catholics and liberal Protestants exclaim, "Rome is changing!"

What optimism prevails among religionists that Rome is heading toward a new reformation. Even professing evangelicals are convinced that Roman Catholicism is changing, changing, changing. However, true believers are not impressed by Vatican window-dressing.

The Romish mass, that wicked counterfeit of the Lord's Supper, has been modernized but not renounced.

The renowned Hislop states that "the doctrine of transubstantiation is clearly of the very essence of Magic, which pretended, on the pronunciation of a few potent words, to change one substance into another, or by a dexterous juggle, wholly to remove one substance, and to substitute another in its place."

The Two Babylons, p. 259. The God of flour and water, produced by priestly sorcery, is still worshipped and adored to this day as it was defined in the dark years of medieval religion (bowing, genuflecting, praying to the "Blessed Sacrament" may be seen daily in any Catholic church).

Modern Catholicism has produced no change in doctrine, but only a change of position.

The enemy of truth is the Devil "vs" Patrick j miron

Dr. Ronald Cooke

The enemy of truth is the Devil.

The Scriptures inform us that "the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them that believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them" (11 Corinthians 4:4).

The Devil's main task is to keep the minds of unbelievers blinded.

In this task, Satan is assisted by false prophets and by the natural man. In our country during the past decade, the false system of Roman Catholicism that blinds the minds of those who follow it, to the true Gospel of Christ, has received unprecedented HELP to advance its cause by Writers and biased News coverage.

In the past few years the news media have been praising the papacy and the false religion of Rome by printing various articles on the Pope and his cardinals. Even worse, the politicians have been aiding and abetting the cause of Roman Catholicism in these United States.

Twice within the past three years Congress has taken much time away from what it should have been doing to give the United States Congressional Gold Medal of Honor, to none other than Cardinal O'Connor of New York (now deceased) and to Pope John Paul, II.

Speeches were made praising these two individuals, after which votes were taken, with the Pope receiving only ONE negative vote. I would like to know the individual who had the courage to vote against such a resolution! So the politicians were fulsome in their praise of Antichristianity.

But the worst debacle of all has been the praises and statements of leading evangelicals who have gone out of their way to praise the Pope of Rome and the Roman Catholic System. Billy Graham, Chuck Colson, Jerry Falwell, Jack Van Impe with others, have all been busy praising the Pope of Rome in recent years.
However, the praises of the evil System of Rome have now been strangely muted! As each succeeding story of Roman Catholic priests and prelates involved in pedophilia unfolds, the efforts to PRAISE the papal system have noticeably been greatly diminshed.

The Bible-believer would then think that this is a great opportunity for evangelicals to get out the true Gospel of redeeming Grace to disillusioned Roman Catholics. Instead, he sees that some evangelicals are STILL trying to defend Roman Catholicism.

Recently, James Dobson, on a television talk show, June 6, 2002, said in a response to Larry King's question about the scandalous behavior of Roman Catholic Priests, that he "was tremendously concerned for the Roman Catholic Church.

I grieve for my Catholic brothers and sisters," he said, "for the priesthood is the symbol of one who speaks for God." He proceeded to say that the leaders of the "Church needed to root out this terrible problem."

Here is a man who is supposed to know what Scriptural doctrine is all about.

Yet he apparently thinks that if the pedophilia was "rooted out" that all would then be well. Whereas the Bible believer knows that even if every pedophile priest was removed tomorrow, the false System of Rome would remain the same as she has been for centuries.

The gross spiritual darkness of the Roman Catholic System is now having much needed light shone upon it so that the evil cage of unclean spirits can be brought into better focus.

(Revelation 18:2) Poor deceived Roman

Catholics should be hearing a clear cut message of justification by faith alone in the finished Work of Christ, instead of hearing from self-confessed EVANGELICAL LEADERS words that seek to patch up and repair the unclean cage of false religion.

These pathetic evangelicals are trying to help the cause of false religion instead of using this great opportunity to completely repudiate it, and show the ETERNAL DIFFERENCE between the Gospel of Redeeming GRACE and the helpless and hopeless system of works-religion, which leads those toiling souls, caught up in it, to a lost eternity.

I believe that because men who should know better, and do better, refuse to do so, that God Himself has taken a hand and has brought about this devastating exposure of celibacy, which His Word lists in the "doctrines of devils" (1 Timothy 4:1.)

God has reversed the course of fulsome praise which the world was giving to Rome, and has allowed the world to regard her with the utmost revulsion.

God has obviously said, Enough is enough! If even those who claim to follow the truth are going to continue to praise this ungodly and blasphemous System, then I WILL MYSELF lift the mask behind which she is hiding, and let the world see what she is really like.

I AM THE HOLY GOD IN HEAVEN WHO REVEALS SECRETS! (Daniel 2:28).

So exposure has followed exposure with the Great Harlot trying to stem the tide of revelations concerning her gross immorality.

Every day brings new light on the behavior of many Roman clergy.

Men may pay little attention to Rome and her false doctrines, but they do get concerned when the priests and prelates break the law and engage in criminal activity.

So even though some selfconfessed evangelicals may still be waffling on the merits and demerits of the Roman Catholic System, law suits are being filed all over the world seeking justice for little altar boys whom the predatory priests of Rome have violated.

God is REVEALING these secrets and they are causing the "Church" to indict herself before the world, and to show the world what this "works-religion" really produces!

So while all kind of damage control is now going on at a feverish pace, the tide of iniquity rolls on in spite of every effort to stem it. God seems to be saying, the news media, the politicians, and even self-confessed evangelicals may want to praise this Mystery Babylon religion, I will overthrow all their attempts to do so.

"When the enemy shall come in, like a flood the spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him" (Isaiah 59:19b).

If men, who know better, refuse to lift up the standard of truth, then the Spirit of God will step in and take over the lifting up of the standard of the truth.

GOD HIMSELF WILL REVEAL THE SECRETS that evil men seek to hide.

Darkness cannot stand before the blazing light of God's holiness. While the enemies of truth try to cover up the dark errors of Rome by giving her gold medals of honor, and by praising her false system, God the Holy Spirit Who is the Author of Truth and the invigorator of Truth, will ENLIGHTEN all who will listen to Him, to the TRUE NATURE of MYSTERY BABYLON RELIGION.

The Scriptures inform us that the MYSTERY of INIQUITY has been at work for a long time.

This MYSTERY of INIQUITY deceives the world with all power and signs and lying wonders. T

The Scriptures also add that men are perishing because they received not the love of the TRUTH, that they might be saved. And for this cause God sends them a strong delusion (error) so that they should believe a lie. (11 Thessalonians 2:9-11).

Notice it is GOD WHO STEPS IN HERE AND SENDS to those who received not the love of the truth, ERROR! A bible scholar commenting on 11 Thessalonians 2:9-11, wrote:

Without any doubt we have a notable demonstration of this in the Papacy. No words can express how FOUL is the ABOMINATION of the Papists, how massive and shameful are their nonsensical superstitions, and how far removed their ravings from common sense. NONE WHO HAVE EVEN A MODERATE ACQUAINTANCE WITH SOUND DOCTRINE can think of such depravity without the utmost horror. How then, does the whole world gape in astonishment at them, unless it is because men have been ...turned into dunderheads?

Error turns men into dunderheads so that they rave away about an evil system as if it were glorious, and give gold medals to those who lead millions to damnation. Error is supposed to be demolished with the armor of heaven. So it is very sad when those who are supposed to enlighten men with the true Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, instead aid and abet the dissemination of error and drivel.

ALMIGHTY GOD has allowed a STRONG DELUSION to afflict those who refuse to receive the truth and He has also allowed them to believe the lie. Then in the midst of the confusion generated by the drivel of MYSTERY BABYLON religion, the Almighty Holy Spirit has uncovered the cage of demons, the hold of every foul spirit, and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird. (Rev. 18:2).
If the Lord God cannot find a man, for He looked, Isaiah tells us in chapter 59:16 for a man, and wondered that there was no intercessor, THEREFORE HIS ARM BROUGHT SALVATION unto Him, and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, it sustained him.

So when truth falls in the street and evil men flourish, it displeases the Lord, and He then steps in Himself to REVEAL the dark doings of evil false prophets. God's Word ENLIGHTENS the mind. The Gospel comes to people who sit in darkness and when they hear it and receive it, they are brought into CHRIST'S MARVELLOUS LIGHT!
So God has allowed the world to see the old Harlot of Mystery Babylon religion in her true light. Self-confessed evangelicals may paint the old Prostitute in glowing colors, but a prostitute is still a prostitute no matter how well she may be painted. God has spoken in His infallible Word about her and is now demonstrating to the world what her erroneous teachings produce.

Dr. Harry Ironside said almost a century ago, "God's call is still the same, 'Come out of her lest you be partaker of her plagues."'

Oh! Beloved reader, if you have not already done so, come out of this or any other false religion, and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. He only can save to the uttermost all that come unto God through HIM!
